Lappan is the (untranslatable) name of the tower at the northern end of Lange Straße pedestrian mall. It is now isolated but once belonged to the chapel of Heilig-Geist-Spital (Hospital of the Holy Spirit). Nothing else is left of the hospital. The former steeple was built in the 1460s, the baroque top was added in 1709.
With over 155,000 residents, Oldenburg is not only a manageable but also has surrounding forests and lots of parks. The townscape of Oldenburg is shaped by the university's and technical college's students: cozy bars, low-priced restaurants, hangouts and lots of bikes everywhere.

This is a must for everybody who loves partying in the open air. There is live music in all the streets and lanes of the city centre along with a huge range of food and drink and special activities. I had tons of fun the last two years I was here. It is great you can drink while walking down the street, and as you can see in the photo, Becks is the best!
