A stroll
by Sjalen
A tour around town is interesting just to show how huge the Volkswagen factory is (although that's even more obvious seen from the town's high lying parts and villages). Its chimneys can be seen in several places around town as can the lit up blue VW in the dark. Walking through the modern centre takes you through the pedestrian Porschestrasse (yep, everything really IS about cars here) where you see this "Wolfsgruppe" statue. I just like to go to the local Schützenhaus and play Kegeln - German bowling - and drink proper pils.
Lamborghini Pavilion
by sabsi
Well what do you expect from a pavilion that shows one car called Lamborghini - which is worth more probably than all the cars in the SEAT pavilion together ;-)?
Right -- you expect a loud engine, a bright colour and an Italian casanova! And that's exactly what you get in the Lamborghini pavilion. One car, worth approximately 350000 DMs is hanging at the wall - and you get to see thunder, rain and a lightshow along with the noise of a engine.
Autostadt - Volkswagen City
by sabsi
Wolfsburg is a city that only exists because of a "small" car manufacturer called "Volkswagen". It's incredible, approx. 100.000 people live here and almost half of them go to work in the Volkswagen factory every day....
There's one big attraction here: The "Autostadt"!!!!! It's a great stylish interesting car expo amusement theme park and my page is only about this, I won't give you any information about the city of Wolfsburg itself.
Read what I found out and enjoy to see where my beloved car was born!
