von Aachen nach Bonn mit dem Bus

by Ivan_70024

In Germany the different modes of public transportation function as a single system, with a clear hierarchy. Busses suplement trains where they are not available.
Since there is a convenient train connection from Aachen to Bonn there is no reason to offer a bus service, so no bus service is offered. So just take the train. Times you will find on www.bahn.de If you want to travel a bit cheaper limit yourself to local trains only.

Check www.aachen.de for more info on different modes to transport from Aachen. But rail is preferred mode of transport.
As noted above www.bahn.de is place to look for timetables...

DB Fahrplan
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/dn
Start: Aachen
Ziel: Bonn

Travel Tips for Aachen

Moderate Sea Climate

by BillNJ

Aachen lies within a moderate sea climate zone. Even in the summer months, it is a good idea to pack a jacket or sweater because temperatures could become unseasonably cool. Also, be sure to bring an umbrella because it rains a lot.

take the time to wander around...

by Travel_Gal

take the time to wander around the city, and explore. On the way to the Market Square, there are many narrow streets, lined with stores that are wonderful for window shopping. If you are in town before Christmas, you must visit the Christmas market that is held in the square. Even if you don't buy a thing it is great wondering through the booths to see the multitude of items available, including a wide variety of handicrafts, and the aroma from the food booths will have you wanting to try everything at least once.

The Tourist Center

We were about to enter here to have some city brochure and some info but I realize that it was already late in the afternoon, the office was already close, all i did was to stand right infront of their door, look inside and take this photo.

Klenkes

by dila

The people of Aachen have their own sign of recognition, "Klenkes", the little finger raised up, which was once used in releasing damaged needles in the needle industry. Hubert Löneke portrayed this gesture in bronze with his »Klenkes« sculpture at Holzgraben.
do not have a picture of this. but the guide told us about this.
