Real GEM in the romantic part of the old city

This hotel is a real must-see for anyone disgusting the internationalized standard 08-15 hotel style. It is a small family run hotel in the romantic old part of Aachen (pedestrian zone, tiny street around the corner of historic Hühnermarkt ("chicken market")), direct oposite is the "Cueven art museum". There are plenty of restaurants with their tables outside in the neighbourhood - but it is not the "young people party zone" of the city, so it is calm during the night. Mrs. Brulls served the breakfast 7h00-10h00 herself in a completely unbeatable style, and in a breakfast room which is styled with historic children toys and valuable historic porcelain tableware. Mrs. Brulls told me, that it was a big hobby of her to collect these things from antique shops in former times, but now her house if full of them, and she is re-designing the breakfast room from time to time, to show all her nice and impressive pieces. I am an experienced traveller, but I never got such nice fresh made orange juice, as with her breakfast (any everyday some other nice surprise). Anything is cute, funny and perfect in this hotel. Only restriction is, that they do not have Internet - but many of the restaurants in the surroundings have internet - and after evening meal in the wonderful "Aix-Oriental" (Turkish wood char coal restaurant), I got their access key, and from then on had free Internet in my room with very good receiption (room number 1 in the second floor). It is a nice old house - they do NOT have an elevator - you have to walk up the staircase to the rooms, which might be a problem for old people.

Unique Quality: wonderful location in the old city, wonderful hosts, wonderful breakfast, stunning room decoration, especially in the breakfast room.
