Contrary to many other hotels in Aachen, this hotel is located in a calm side street, very near to the city and to the central station (about 10 min walk each). It is located in a nice and lively city quarter with nice student restuarants at street corners. The hotel looks a bit stiff and cold from the street, but if you come through to the back yard, it surprisingly opens to a wonderful large quarter backyard with many trees. The hotel has its parking lot there (the parking lot is locked 22h00-8h00), but from the upper floors you have a wonderful view over a surprisingly large pond which is centrally located in this quarter back yard. Therefore it is perfectly calm - especially if you get a room to the backyard. My one was a large room was in the 3rd floor, very nice baroque style wood furniture, very large window onto the lake, quite large bathroom and perfectly running free WiFi, all perfectly clean. Although the hotel is in a solidly built 1900 style stone house, it has a an elevator . Breakfast is servered in the beautifully baroque style stuffed entrance area of the hotel.
Unique Quality: City near, very calm, view on a small lake, large rooms, large windows, nice athomosphere
Directions: Residential area around Hubertusstrasse, about 500m from the city center / cathedral
