Hello.
Is there anyone who could give some tips for an international sudent in Bonn? I would enjoy mostly some information about the student dorms (because this is the heaviest burden for me now). Thank you very much. :)

BONN is just one hour by train from Köln. So when I was 'living' in there I decided to visit this beautiful city. It was just one day but I enjoyed walking around the city, drinking in the terraces... just walk and walk and see the city....
Somewhat in the shadow of its large famous neighbor in nearby Cologne, the Bonn Minster is often overlooked. That is very unjust, it is a wonderfully proportionate late-romanesque basilika with some Gothic elements mixed in. The cloister is the only romanesque one north of the Alps.
From late April to mid October, there are sailings on the Rhine (the rest of the year, water levels are very unpredictable with both low levels and flooding) and I can only recommend them as I love cruising around on the Rhine. You can go downstream to Cologne or upstream to the scenic Siebengebirge area and the first of many hillside castles. You can also combine trips with further cruises from Koblenz down the Rhine Gorge, or go on the Moselle instead. There are good train connections if you don't want to splash out on return tickets. Below is a timetable to give you an idea, even if there are more cruise lines than the famous K-D.
Situated on the Eastern bank of the Rhine between Bonn and Niederkassel, where the river Sieg empties into the Rhine, there is a wonderful area of protected River marshland. There are several bike and hiking paths and consequently this area is a favourite recreational zone for the citizens of Bonn and the nearby communities.

living in the surroundings of bonn is quite okay regarding (some nice) nightlife and having different cultural contacts (as well as food). shopping commerce all through the town - for them who like it..
