The hotel is about 10 minutes to walk from the train station .We had booked a standard double, but for some reason were upgraded . So we had a really large room with a very spacious bathroom. The rooms are done in British style, complete with kettle and tea/coffee tray. A very good idea!
Breakfast was buffet style and as most often in the Best Western hotels it was enough to last you until late afternoon.
The minibar was disappointing.Usually I don't take anything from it,but we had come back from a day of sightseeing, were cold and wet - snow and rain storms that weekend! - so I took a hot shower and didn't want to go out again. When I opened the minibar, hoping for a Kölsch, all I found was mineral water and coke. So I had a hot tea instead.
I was told later, that there is a 24 hour bar, but they would put some Kölsch in the minibar, should I stay with them again. (I fear they put an alcoholic sign next to my name in their computer.)
