It's a vacation rental site but they would be furnished and they come in all price ranges. We've used them many times and have always been happy with the service.
You will be out of season and long-term so you should ask for a huge discount. Don't be afraid to negotiate with them. It might just solve your problem.

Travel Tips for Cologne
VT heaven!
Four floors of rain gear, travel support gadgets, polar clothes and sleeping bags, canoes, kids outdoor gear and books, tents, climbing stuff,,,there aint much you won't find here in Europe's largest outdoor shop. There is even a cafe to get you relaxed enough to make a decision :))) There is a rain test area and a climbing wall as well as a cold room with polar temperatures, and yes, in this picture you see the little water feature where you can test your canoe before purchasing...In nearby Bonn, they also have an outlet. Ask Win (rhineroll) for details about that one. Anything from a tent to a GPS to a travel pillow...

By plane or train. We took the train from Amsterdam. A fast train: The ICE (Intercity Express) which does the total distance in 2hours 45 min.
Walking, the trams and the Metro.
Walking does the job of sightseeing the best!
Wonderful brewery bar
This is a wonderful building, both outside and in. The interior is stunning with the wooden carving, hanging beams and calm friendly atmosphere. The Kolsh beer is one of the best, but slightly sweeter than most, but very good indeed. Waiting staff were very keen and disciplined, and very friendly, and remembered and greeted us when we visited the second time. You can stand outside, but then miss the wonderful interior. Beer garden at rear too. We returned here on our last day again, and were treated very kindly by the staff, who appreciate return visitors! It did not seem so busy as some other places on the Saturday evening, which we were glad of!
Beautiful Kolsch beer glasses! We only had beer here on each occasion so cannot comment on the food quality, but the menu looked good and had English translations. What we saw of it looked good too. All waiters spoke some English.
This brewery bar is not to be confused with the similar titled PAFFGEN in Friesenstrasse, they are two different brewers (but there is a family connection)
I would come here nearly every night if I could!
Skateboard the Domplatte
The domplatte is one of the best skateboarding spots I know. Go there and have fun. You'll find cool curbs, lots of stairs, nice obstacles and a lot of skilled skateboarders. You shouldn't miss the curb right across from the Cologne Cathedral and the Museum curb. But be careful, as there are a lot of tourists running around. And you shouldn't skatebaord when it's getting dark, as the polic may come - there are hotels very close which might complain about the noise.
