I booked this hotel as it seemed to be clean, not that expensive, easily accesible and because many hotels were full already. Fürstenberger was good, a bit off city and probably has had its best days, but it is still nice and very close to subway. We thought walked to the city along the river and really enjoyed the walk. But if you don't wanna move your feet, the hotel itself is very close to K Mülheim station, where in for example S Bahn from/to Düsseldorf stops. There also stops the U-Bahns which you can take to the center. ON their web pages they say 5 Minutes to the Cologne Main Station (Köln-Hauptbahnhof), Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) and the OLD TOWN (Kölner Altstadt), but I don't know what kind of speed flying this is, but definitely is it not 5 minutes walk from Dom... Fürstenberg is located on the other side of the river...
Unique Quality: Nice clean room is what I expected with the money I paid. Two person for two nights; 100 euros. You can also have a breakfast there with some 5 euros, but because there is a shop right next to wth bakery, we optioned that one.
