One of Europe's Oldest Watertowers
How many people can say they stayed in a water tower? It is an Elegant modern 11-story Hotel renovated inside an imposing circular brick water tower erected in 1868. It is classified as an historic building. There are 2 Restaurants and 1 bar. Highly recommended.
Unique Quality: Great views of the city including the Cathedral are available from the roof.

Bloody Expensive for a water tower:
Exclusive, unique, remarkable - the Hotel im Wasserturm, an international luxury hotel situated in Europe's formerly largest water tower, is ranked amongst the best designer hotels in the world. The 130-year old building, which is classified as a historical monument, manages to combine the classical hotel tradtion with modern interior architecture in an extraordinary manner.

Great architecture, outside and inside
This place is unbelievable, I stayed there for five days but I would stay there for much more If I could. Great experience !!!!!
The service is something else to praise, they were always willing to help.

This hotel is all designed by Andrée Putman, a famous French designer, and it is worst a visit! It is inside a watertower -the largest of its kind in Europe.

My favorite hotel in Cologne...
My favorite hotel in Cologne is the Hotel im Wasserturm. It has been located in an old water depot from the XIX century (it used to be the biggest in Europe). The atmosphere is elegant and the view from the top terrasse is nice, but prices are high.
Unique Quality: Accomodation standard in Germany are high, so even if you choose a low budget hotel, it will be great. There is plenty of them in the city center, but you won't find any bargains either....
