Cologne's hidden trasure
Excellent small hotel very close to the river Rhine and a short walk along the river bank to the Old Town.
We had a room on the second floor at the back which was very quiet. A large balcony outside (no view) but useful for standing outside for fresh air.
The room was smallish but adequate and very clean and bright with a shower cabinet and free toiletries. Flat screen TV.
A free inbuilt safe box in the wardrobe was particularly welcome.
Staff at reception were extremely helpful and spoke very good English.
Unique Quality: On the first floor is a swimming pool and sauna. No one else was there when we used it so, in fact, it was a private facility. Very appreciated after a day of walking.

Reasonable and central
Chose the hotel after reading several positive feedbacks on the internet. The hotel is clean, centrally located and offer all you need in terms of facilities. Stayed in a Deluxe room. But being a 4 star hotel I had expected a bit more as I thought the room was too small. Friendly staff though.
Unique Quality: Only a couple of minutes from the main attractions.

Solid Hotel
We stayed the last two nights of a long vacation and it was perfect for that. Internet, food, walkable sites but quieter neighborhood. Very reasonably priced as German Hotels in August generally are. 90Eu. Shower is all glass next to bed so could be weird...

Nice 4-star hotel in quiet area.
Room was about $100 for double.
