Pullman Cologne: Expensive and only the food is classy

The room was smallish but clean and the shower-room fairly ordinary by many standards although the shower was very good. Don't expect the usual frills that you often find in bathrooms and the tea coffee supply in the rooms is really mean. The mini bar has no wine provided and is one of the poorest I've had. Room service was sloppy from overwork possibly. Breakfast is extra and excellent but at 22 euros a head each day that is the least the hotel could provide. The restaurant on the top floor is excellent although it shuts down on Sundays and Mondays.
The restaurant is the hotel's star but that comes down to the chef. If he were to go then it might not be so good.
We booked a double room over Expedia.com and got a pretty good price for this 4-star hotel with 79 € per night. If you book and breakfast is not included, the price for the breakfast buffet is circa 32 €. The room was spacious and clean and the staff helpful, no matter what you needed like taxi, tickets for a show or other information.
The have a restaurant, bar, ballroom, wellness facilities etc and laundry service.
