Sunset...
Sunset over the Rhine can be quite beautiful. The lights of the TV tower and the twin bridges illuminate the sky, and if the clouds are just right the suns rays burst through in a final "goodbye" to the day. And to us :-((

What's Dusseldorf Nightlife like?
This is my first trip to Dusseldorf. I'll be in Dusseldorf from Oct.9~13.
Any fun thing to do there? I'll be myself in Dusseldorf.
Any nice clubs? and smoking the ***?
Düsseldorf is known for its pubs, where they serve Alt (= "old", a kind of beer).
I recommend that you check out
http://www.duesseldorf-tourismus.de
They have an extensive guide to the nightlife on the site, look under "At a Glance" -> "Adresses-Services-Information" -> "Clubs and Diskos" or
under "At a Glance" -> "Adresses-Services-Information"-> "Bistros & Pubs"
Thanks~!
I'll check it out.

If you are into Gucci, Armani and their friends this is the street for you to go. There is all the expensive shops you need here... for me only window shopping is allowed but this place and the shops isn't my cup of tea anyway! I just love watching the women in their ugly fur coats and the guys parking their big cars here! Clothes, Jewelry, Shoes, the world.... Lots!
As you suppose it is a Greek restaurant and the staff is also Greek, the menu is typical Greek too. As neighbours I know there cuisine very good and I like it a lot. I couldn’t miss my favorite grilled octopus.
For 3Euro you can take the lift up the 168m tower to see the most stunning vista panorama over Duesseldorf - I am told that on a clear day you can even see as far as Koeln! It wasn't quite that clear when we went but it was still amazing we could see for miles and miles and it was just fabulous!
Opening times:
Daily 10am-11.30pm
Public transport to:
Landtag/Rheinkniebruecke
The Burgplatz is considered one of the most beautiful squares in Germany. The site once held the great castle of the Count of Berg, and later a fabulous baroque palace. Nowadays the only part of this history that still remains is one of the towers, as pictured. The rest of the palace burned down in 1872. The tower now houses the SchiffahrtMuseum, which is a shipping museum cataloguing 2000 years of navigating the Rhein.
Check out the linked site for a webcam of the square.
