Düsseldorf has a lot of conventions. During convention weeks, hotels are in scarce supply, and the rates increase greatly. We ran into this on our visit.
After wandering around downtown, we tried this hotel. It is on the top two floors of a six story apartment building, and has only 23 rooms.
Unique Quality: The hotel is described as a * * * hotel. Beds were big enough, included bathroom and shower and a good European breakfast in the morning
Directions: Downtown, few blocks from the train station.
