Barrel organs
Among all the other street performers that are around during the summer there are quite a few organ grinders around in Duesseldorf. Some of them have very fancy barrel-organs, and they are often all dressed up with tophats and the lot.

Dear friends,
in august I will go to dusseldorf to make a geman course in the university. I have my flight ticket I will fly to frankfurt Hahn . I know there is a bus from the airport to Cologne but have been looking if there is any conexion by bus to Dusseldorf but I cannot find it.
If you have any information Please let me know
The second thing is the accomodation, the course will last two weeks and I would like to find a cheap accomodation during these weeks, preferably in a wg , but I am open to any other possibility.
Thanks again!!!
In Germany bus transport between cities isn't that common. But you can take a train from Cologne to Düsseldorf. Yoll'll find the website of the local public transportation system of the region under www.vrr.de.
There are no buses from Cologne to Düsseldorf.
Journey by RE trains is 30 minutes and costs EUR 8,50. This VRS/VRR ticket is valid for travelling with local public transport to any stop in Düsseldorf.
DB timetable
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/dn
From: K (for Köln/Cologne Hbf)
To: D (for Düsseldorf Hbf)
There are also other trains, slight faster but also more expensive (IC, ICE). Prices are shown here at the DB timetable, as the DB tariff applies. Such a DB ticket is only good for the train journey - not to travel onwards with tram or bus.
Hiya,
I agree, you should take the train from Köln to Düsseldorf.
For accomodation I would recommend the following page:

Thanks friends !
I find a place to stay through studenten-wg-de.

This is a two-in-one place at Ratinger Straße, the street with nothing but restaurants and pubs and bars.
In the front part you have a relaxed pub atmosphere with high tables, stools and TV. In the back you find a cool stylish lounge area, very colourful, chill-out-music, very realxxxxing!
If you want to eat something take the Bruscetta with lots of garlic!!!
Popular with the locals on the way to work - breakfast on the go - so we gave it a whirl too before we caught the S-Bahn to Cologne, and we weren't disappointed. Really tasty filled rolls - so much variety, meats, cheese, even scrambled egg and bacon ones. Really cheap at about 1 euro per roll. Made really tasty packed sandwiches too as they came well wrapped in grease proof paper.
It's one of my favourite landmarks in Düsseldorf, I can see the very top from my bedroom window, you see it from far away from all directions and it is a great experience to stand on top of it looking down, over the water of the Rhein, the harbour, the old town, watching the ships...
There is a restaurant on top of the Rhein Turm.
Since a tunnel for the cars was constructed underneath the promenade, the Rhine bank has been regained for the leisure of Düsseldorf's citizens. This is the happening place in Düsseldorf, where people come here to practice sport, walk or simply see and let themselves be seen.
