Flights to DUS are quite frequent and easily accessible. Air France is how we arrived.Driving and Parking can be a hassel. Definately buy a map. The trains are very friendly, you can buy a 4er ticket which will give you two round trips on any train in town for about 5,60 Euro.
Walking is also a nice way to get around.
The taxis are a bit pricey, but still cheaper than NYC.
