DB timetable
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en
From: [Station/Stop] DUS
To: [Address] Duesseldorf, Fritz-von-Wille-Str.
and select as means of transport "only local transport".

If you have it add also the house number, e.g. Fritz-von-Wille-Str. 1

Single ticket is EUR 2,30. No matter if you go there by bus or a combination of S-Bahn and bus.

Travel Tips for Düsseldorf

Orange revolution ?

by Douya

During week-ends, I love to walk from my house to the altstadt (old city) following the Rhein. One day from the Rhein park, I saw a orange ribbon moving accross the OberKasseler bridge.

Hundreds of runners, all wearing orange tee-shirts, for the annual Düsseldorf race, in a magic of colors from Burgplatz to Rheinkniebrücke.
The sun was not only in the sky but also along the Rhein...

Icehockey addicts can rely on the DEG

by Bigs

The DEG is one of the big icehockey teams in Germany and the stadium at the Brehmstrasse is famous for some icehockey history as Düsseldorf often won the German mastership a lot of times. The most exciting match every year is the game against the Kölner Haie (Cologne Sharks), and Sabsi got me two tickets for this match in 2004!!! As you might know both cities don't like each other very much!!! So the fans don't like each other very much as well.... but it's still icehockey and so everyone is nice to each other.....well after the game :)

The DEG lost 2:5 when I have been there, but the huge crowd in that stadium made a fantastic athmosphere. There are over 10 thousand people going in the stadium. Icehockey Jersey, Fans Scarf and sparklers!!!

Excellent trams and buses

by BillNJ

Of all of the German cities that I visited, I was most impressed with Düsseldorf's system of public transportation. Within the city, there is an extensive network of trams and buses that are easy to use, clean, comfortable, and safe. Therefore, a visitor to Düsseldorf can easily and inexpensively get around the city without having to rent a car.

Just Schnitzel

by wilde13 about Gangelshof

If you are searching for good german beerhouse food or making Schnitzeljagd, than join the Gangelshof. It is situated in Oberbilk.
The prices are fair and the beer is a good homemade beer. Sunday, each Schnitzel 5,75 €.
Some seasonal food like mussels aso.

Rathaus (Town Hall)

by Leipzig

Duesseldorf Town Hall dates to the 16th century but it is not the original building you see here. It was bombed in World War Two and rebuilt to its former flair after.
The building contracts from 1570 and 1572 lie in the city archive.
