Have a look at this website, "Babyschwimmen" is offered sometimes:
http://www.baeder-duesseldorf.de/animation.htm
Or go to the pools and ask there.
You can also check the black board of a church. It's quite common for mother-child groups to meet on the church grounds. No religious instruction, just meeting there . Once you are part of such a group your daughter - and you yourself - will have a busy schedule.
Travel Tips for Düsseldorf
Kill the Pitsch
by Zandra
Düsseldorf has more than Altbier… If you like shots, you ought to give the Killepitsch a try! It’s a 42% strong liquor made out of 98 different herbs, berries and fruits. Personally I think it tastes like a really bad cough medicine, so whenever I “have to” drink it, I always knock it down at once… But don’t you worry; many Düsseldorfer don’t even know about the Killepitsch, so you can simply forget that you ever read this and just stick to the Altbier…- it’s the most famous (and best tasting) drink from Düsseldorf anyway… :-)
There’s a small Killepitsch bar in the Altstadt with a shop next to it, where you can buy your own bottle of Killepitsch…a souvenir for someone who deserves it???!!! :-) It’s also possible to order both the liquor and Killepitsch gear on their homepage, where you’ll also find some cocktail recipes as well as the amusing Killepitsch story.

Mexican at its Best
by sandysmith about Pssst Bandido
Great interior decor and ambience. Waiter will even take photos of guest in Mexican hats! It was busy even for a Monday evening - and it was a while before we were served with our main courses - but it was worth the wait. Plenty to choose from, took me ages to make up my mind but eventually compromised by having a combo dish - beef tacos, veggie burrita and a chicken enchilda with mexican rice and chilli beans. Very delicious as was desert - a fried banana in a tortilla with ice-cream and chocholate sauce and garnished with tropical fruits - absolutely divine ;-))
Firework watched from a boat
by elbe
In Oberkassel, a part of Düsseldorf onb the left Rhineside opposite of the Düsseldorfer oldtown, the largest parish fair at the Rhine takes place in summer. It starts on 2nd Saturday in July and lasts nine days. On Friday there's a huge firework. It takes place between the two Düsseldorfer bridges in the South, the "Oberkasseler Brücke" and the "Rheinkniebrücke", statt. As long as it lasts the bridges are closed for traffic. It starts at 22.30 o'clock and lasts about 15 minutes.
If you would like to see it in a special way do a boat trip on the Rhine.
FOR EXAMPLE: At 7 p.m. a boat starts in Dormagen-Zons from the left Rhineside. In Monheim-Baumberg you can join on the right rhineside (3 km from Düsseldorf-Garath) at 19.15 Uhr.
The route is about 40 km long. On the boat you've live music and have the possibility to eat something. On the boat you can watch the firework at 22.30 o'clock. The tour back lasts two hours and at 1 a.m. you're back in Dormagen-Zons and in Monheim-Baumberg at 1.15 a.m. This trip (without food, this costs € 20 for adults older than 15 years) costs € 28 each person.
The Rathaus
by Mariajoy
Built in 1573, the Town Hall (Rathaus) is situated in the middle of the Old Town on Marktplatz. There's a statue of Prince Jan Wellem on his horse in the middle of the square - a very popular subject on the postcards here!
