Neanderthal Museum by Krumel
The Neanderthal Museum in Mettmann near Duesseldorf is one of the most interesting museums I have been to. It is a multi-media exhibition not only about the Neanderthal people, but about the history and the future of mankind in general. It will take you at least 2 hours to do your round through the museum if you want to look at all the presentations. Admission is ?6.50. The museum is situated at the entrance to the Neanderthal Valley, and you can go for a walk there after your visit to the museum. On the way you will pass by a some bisons in a field, and there are Przewalski horses in another. Other facilities near the museum include a playground for children, a pitch-and-putt course, and a restaurant.
