Guided Tour through Zeche Zollverein by sabsi
There are guided tours available at Zollverein pit. These demonstrate the way the coal used to go very well. An excellent way to get a feeling for the history of this place. The tour takes your through several buildings you wouldn't get access to on your own. At weekends they start at the visitors centre at 1100, 1300, 1400, 1500 and 1600. During the week in summer there's tours at 1100, 1400 and 1500 (in winter only at 1400). The tour takes approx. 2 hours and costs EURO 7. English tours are available on request.
