Gästehaus Havergoh: Good place for a few days

The guesthouse is in the centre of Bad Meinberg, it’s about 200m to the spa gardens. The room was not large but spacious enough and everything was clean. The TV was absolutely tiny, but they have “comfort” rooms with flat screens. There's no restaurant but you'll get breakfast which was good. I mostly loved the home made marmalade and apple-quince juice! On the ground floor there were all kind of flyers and information about the and you could buy hiking maps there, that’s really helpful if you arrive at a week-end when the tourist information is closed! The guesthouse has “only” two stars (note that there’s no phone and hair-dryer on the rooms), but to me it rather felt like three stars and we enjoyed our stay there!

Nice and lovely: Guesthouse Foerster

Haven't been here but found this cosy guesthouse while walking by Brunnencafe. Actually this guesthouse belongs to Brunnencafe. The lovely pension has 20 rooms and is very close to Kurpark and pedestrian zone.

Great rooms & service: Vital Hotel zum Stern

Vital Hotel zum Stern provids very nice and clean rooms most of them with balcony. Bathrooms are very clean too. The hotel has also an awesome restaurant with terrace and some outdoor area where they offer BBQ, then indoor pool & sauna, a small gym, and wellness area. Free wireless internet access is given, and most important the hotel sits right at the Kurpark and close to pedestrian zone. Everything in and around the town & park is in walking distance. Also they provid informations in English as well. One can find every night a g'night sweets together with an English/German written poem on one's pillow. Parking places are provided as they have a parking house.

Incredible idyllic: Hotel Schauinsland

After a most lovely and long walk through Bad Meinberg's Silvatikum, mom and me ended up at the really romantic located cafe of the Hotel Schauinsland. Eventually I can't say anything about the hotel's rooms & service etc. yet I do can say its modest location is unbelievable idyllic, situated in untouched green & quiet. Truly peaceful. Well, if you want to be near by the town's center of Bad Meinberg, then this hotel is not comfortable, however they have a bus line in front of the hotel. Not sure whether the bus actually stops frequently. For my understanding the owners, the Moek family, are former Pomeranian so don't wonder if these nice ppl are rather little on words & smile.
