Lepramuseum Munster Kinderhaus
by Nantosvelta
I haven't been here yet but I hope to change that some day.
Leprosy is still a big problem in a lot of countries. Medicines are freely available but patients still have to deal with the stigma.
Hopefully this museum will help people understand that leprosy is a curable disease and not the revenge from God for a sinful life.

"The Square"
Here, in front of the cathedral, locals and tourists alike congregate on Saturdays for the amazing market. This is just one of the things that I enjoy about Munster. I love all the bikes and pedestrian areas in the center. I also love the sense of history of the city and the amazing rebuilding that happened after WWII.
The grounds to this area of the university are beautiful. It's next to the botanical gardens and made for a beautiful evening walk.
The city center has some amazing stores, many in modern buildings. But, there is also a stretch where the buildings appear as they did throughout history. This building survived the bombings and was used as a design model as the rest of the city was rebuilt.

"Dom St. Paulus, Munster city center"
Munster's Catherdal in the town center was built 1225-1265. The astronomical clock everyday at noon has moving Magi honoring the baby Jesus.
"Burg Vischering, Munsterland"
Burg Vischering is an old and very well maintained castle just south of Munster. It is complete with a moat and a drawbridge! It has a museum in what used to be the stables and adults as well as kids will certainly enjoy this one! It was built in 1270 and is furnished with furniture pieces from those eras.
"Burg Vischering's Drawbridge"
A REAL drawbridge in a castle, just like the storybooks!! WOW!!! OK, yes, I was impressed!

Munster
Up till tonight I have only seen the University and a big music hall outside the city. This is my second night in Munster and I just returned from a concert with the Dubliners. Great atmosphere and good beer.
I hear there is a special Christmas market in town, so I will come back with more details later.
