What a great balcony at the river
In Hotel Baeren you may choose the "Nebenhaus" directely on the river with a few rooms offering such a great balcony on the river.
Unique Quality: 4 rooms have such a balcony, and although #53 is just a single-room, it also has a table and seats for 4 people, beeing able to watch the ships passing by.

Hotel Baeren is my favorite
Hotel Baeren in Bernkastel is my favorite place to stay. The hotel consists now of 3 buildings :
1)The main building is in the street leading to Trier and there all of the guests will also have their excellent breakfast-buffet.
The main-building is the only one with an elevator, but you have to climb up 7 steps first to get into the house.
2)The Bistro - with rooms facing the river Mosel, partly with their own balcony.
The Bistro is also a great restaurant with a lovely terrace facing the river.
3)Das Nebenhaus - next to the Bistro and lots of rooms with balconies facing the river.

On that balcony is a table with 4 chairs and it was great fun to watch the ships pass by.
