The Youth hostel: The Youth hostel

There is a Youth hostel up in the mountains, close to the castle Landshut and you may eighter drive up there with your car or take a walk through the vinyards of maybe 20 minutes from the town-centre.

Unique Quality: They have a big park around the hostel and have a great view on the castle and the Mosel-valley.

Pension Bartz: Great B&B

Mrs Bartz has a nice house on the Kues side of the valley overlooking the Moselle river. Excellent clean rooms and not too expensive,plus you get the exercise of walking down to town and back.

Rieslinghaus Weinhaus Porn Hotel Garni: Everything you could ask for

This is a wine store with rooms upstairs. Our room was super ultra clean and cosy. They gave us a glass of free Gluwein when we checked in too. The rooms have a shower, sink and private toilet too. She was concerned that the room was too cold so gave us portable heater until the register heated up. The bed is very large with two German mattresses. She said this was the small room, it was fine, not small to us. She did have other rooms with a t.v. and all the crap that we never need when on vacation. The breakfast is 5 euro per person and is buffet style from 8:30-9:30, consists of eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, bread asst., fruit asst., yogurt, jellies, butter, liverwurst/pate, nuts, tea or coffee, orange juice and sweet muffins (on second day). It varies depending on who is doing the buffet that day. It was 48 euro a night without breakfast. Free parking across the street.

Unique Quality: Location Location Location. This is right across from the river where the cruises start and the back of the hotel is actually part of the square where the Rathaus is. I spose that the Marktplatz. It is so central that you will hear some partiers during the night. Take earplugs. The Pros far outweigh the cons here.
