The Hotel Guenther faces the Rhine, next to the larger Bellevue, across from the K-D Line Dock.
We (happily) chose a room with a balcony overlooking the River, a little more expensive than rooms w/o the view. The room was a bit small, but comfortable, with a modern shower/bath and separate dressing area.
Very elegant dining room for breakfast (provided). The Guenther also can provide a supper meal, but we didn't try it. We did try a bottle of their red wine - a good choice, modestly priced. Extras - phone calls, water, beer - very reasonably priced. Jim Suntheimer, the proprieter, originally from Ohio/USA, is an efficient hotelier with a very lovely setting.
A really convenient location both for river and train travel up and down the Rhine.

€35 and upwards - we payed €46 for a triple room en suite (only without TV but there is one in the breakfast room). The photo shows the view from our room across to the Bopparder Hamm area.
Very child friendly (they have a young son themselves). Our daughter had a chocolate Easter bunny waiting for her at the breakfast table Easter Sunday and was even given a cuddly toy when we left! Nice breakfast and comfortable beds. The breakfast room also serves as TV lounge and has a fridge where you can store some things. There are also beverages for sale on a 'serve yourself, pay when you leave' basis.
