Alte Thorschenke, Cochem, Germany - Reviews and Hotel Information

The Alte Thorschenke is a family run hotel in the heart of Cochem in a historical building. To get to your room you may have to climb the winding wooden staircase, built hundreds of years ago. Each room has its own character and antique furniture (some of the beds are as old as the hills). Unfortunately there is no ac so you'll have to open the windows. However, the hotel is located near a bar so if you're a light sleeper, you may want to request a room as far as possible from it (people are out shouting until 2 in the morning). Bathrooms are small and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Make sure to look outside at the front of the hotel at the various water mark lines, indicating the height of various floods over the past 300 years.
