Stop in the Markt (Town Square)
by hquittner
Crowded and busy though it may be, the Markt should be examined. In it you will find the pretty St. Martin Fountain and at the East end the Baroque Town Hall (Rathaus) of 1739. Near the West end you can take the shuttle bus up to the Catle. If time permits walk back and see more of the town.
Castle Eltz
by MikeAtSea
This castle hidden in the forests of the Eifel could be part of a saga of medieval times. The origin of the castle was in the year 1157 however it was only completed in the beginning of the 16th century. In 1920 the castle burned down and was destroyed and re-built.
Make sure you visit this castle during the summer months - since it is closed in winter!
Oops..... I forgot ;-)

Another view inside one of the beautiful rooms. Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly which room this is. I can't blame the tour guide for that though as she gave plenty of information about every room we visited. Hahaha, I guess I just have to admit that I forgot, lol ;-)
