great location and price
The ibis Hotel has a great location and great price for quick stay overs in Mainz. They are very accomodating and helpful with info and also offer parking and hints on places to go

Nice for the price
Very close to the Bahnhof, with small and clean rooms. Great for the price 75 EUR.

Ibis Hotel - Mainz
If you've stayed at an Ibis before, you know what to expect. It's not fancy, but the rooms are clean and well-maintained. The location is especially easy to get in and out of w/ a car.
Unique Quality: If you're lucky, you can pick up free wireless internet from the bar across the street.
I liked the location... it's right by the Rhine, there's a train station very nearby, plus lots of restaurants and shops are close by as well.

Hi friends, i'm looking for a cheaper accomodation in Mainz.
I'm coming with a small group of friends ( we are four) so we need an hostel or hotel/apartament.
We'll stay in Mainz two nights 22/23-12/2007 so i need infos about the local nightlife.

The hostel is 1,5 km upstream from the Römisches Theater station (lower right corner on the map). Walk goes through the Stadtpark and Volkspark parks.

Can't help you with that. I do work in Mainz but never stay long enough to check out the night life. ;)
But there are a couple of night life tips at the VT Mainz pages... maybe there's something you like!?
