The ibis Hotel has a great location and great price for quick stay overs in Mainz. They are very accomodating and helpful with info and also offer parking and hints on places to go
If you've stayed at an Ibis before, you know what to expect. It's not fancy, but the rooms are clean and well-maintained. The location is especially easy to get in and out of w/ a car.
If you're lucky, you can pick up free wireless internet from the bar across the street. I liked the location... it's right by the Rhine, there's a train station very nearby, plus lots of restaurants and shops are close by as well.
