The Winefest will start on friday evening 06.00p.m. and will end on monday evening. On sunday there will be a Antik- & Trödelmarkt (fleamarket).
Such winefests are always big fun with great music, dance and great wines to be tasted.

Rudolf Caracciola was born in Remagen
by globetrott
Rudolf Caracciola (30.1.1901 - 28.9.1959 ) was one of the most succesful racing drivers of his time mostly driving the famous Silberpfeils of Mercedes and only for a few races he drove an Alfa P3 for the Scuderia Ferrari.
He held several world-records for racing and won also the 1st race at the Nurburgring in 1927. In the time before M.Schuhmacher he was the most succesful and best known racing-driver from Germany.
He was born in Remagen as the son of a hotel-owner and at the beginning of the Rhine-boulevard you may see this small monument for him . Just a few meters from that monument you may see "Villa Caracciola" his former house, it is owned today by a doctor.
Linz am Rhein - just 3km upstream
by globetrott
Linz am Rhein is an interesting small town with plenty of great halftimbered houses, a great castle with a museum of torture, a glass-production and a great restaurant, where you may have your festivities inside the beautiful rooms of the castle.
In Linz am Rhein you may still see some old towngates and remains of the medieval townwall.
A few km south of Remagen you may take the carferry to Linz am Rhein. The fare is just 2,80 Euros for 1 person and a motorhome.
Roemisches Museum / Roman museum in Remagen
by globetrott
The building on my picture is the "Roemisches Museum" / Roman Museum in Remagen, just a few steps from the church .
At this very place the old Romans built a house with several columns, on top of some of these remains a chapel was built in the 15th century and the building was finally given to the city of Remagen as a donation.
It is a museum today, open 03.00p.m.-05.00p.m.
every wednesdays till sundays.
