If you're looking for a nice and clean place with a view on the Mosel, I'd definitely recommend to stay at the Moseltor.
Some rooms have balconies, although very small there's enough space for a tiny table and 2 chairs.
The shower is huge and very clean. Breakfast is served at the restaurant, downstairs.
The price wasn't cheap, but after checking a few hotels in the town we decided that the Moseltor worth the money.
Unique Quality: Moseltor is a non-smoking facility, so don't expect to find ashtrays in rooms. What you'll definitely find there is "No smoking" signs on every corner. You'll find them in the shower, on a table, on the front door, and even on the balcony door. The balcony door's one is one of a kind, it says: "Smoking is ForbiTTen". Definitely made me laugh.
However, the owners were kind enough to permit us to smoke on the balcony. Don't know if they're always so generous or it's the off-season that made them realize that one or two sigarettes smoked outside the room won't do any harm to their "smoke forbitten" accommodation.
We spent here 2 days, the hotel dates form 1888, I was quite afraid when we got in, I thought that we are going to hear every sngle guest step going up and down and moving around, but was not the case.
The rooms are rather small, however are very clean, and the bathrooms have just been refurbished, in our rooms there were not bath tubes, but I pefer to have a shower so didn´t mind at all.
The owners who run the hotel are vey friendly, and althoug we didn´t have dinner at the restaurant it seems to be popular in town.
