I choose this hotel because of its location. From the description I thought I even might be able to see Porta Nigra from the hotel, but since it is at an inneryard this was impossible. No big deal, but no proper advertising. What is worse is how you as a client is being treated, or mistreated. I arrived on a warm and sunny day so they had the front door a bit open, but just inside their quite large dog was laying. There was absolutely no attempt to move it away so that I as a guest and customer could get in easily. It was much more important not to disturb the dog so I had to climb over it while the receptionist was watching. Even worse: when I had my first breakfast the next morning the dog came into the breakfast room, FROM THE KITCHEN, which I could look into, and started to eat from the plates with sausages, cheese, ham and whatever there was but from the plates meant for the guests to take their breakfast from!!! Obviously this was normal since there was no reaction from the staff. I had no more breakfasts at that hotel although I had already payed for it and I will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. Then I rather take a bench outside the railway station to sleep on next time I go to Trier which will be in spring 2013.
