Porta Nigra by BethStar83
The Porta Nigra was absolutely breathtaking! Coming from a relatively new world (USA), with newer architecture, the Porta Nigra seemed (and is, i suppose) ancient. The structure is made of sandstone, which appears to have aged over the many centuries of its existance from pollution and the weak structure of sandstone as a building material. Its a lovely piece of historical architecture, and one of my favorite places on my trip.
