Perfect spot
We loved where this hotel was. It was a half a block from the Porta Nigra and well placed for walking to the Market square and other ancient sites.
The hotel is more upscale than most of the places we stayed on our trip. It had a concierge and an elevator. The room was modern, clean, beautiful, comfortable and well furnished. We had a bountiful breakfast each of the mornings we were here. Complete with meat, eggs, potatoes, fruit, breads, yogurt, and more.
We had a car and had a secure car park which was located about a block away. It was a little difficult unloading our luggage as there was no room on the street. I believe it is fairly close to the train, though couldn't verify that.

Comfortable hotel at Porta Nigra
Quite modern, well equiped and comfortable hotel, in the very center of Trier. Many rooms have views of the Porta Nigra.
Good breakfast buffet and wide choice.
Good value for money and friendly staff.
