15 euros per night plus 2.5 euros(for 3 days) for the sheets. Towels are not provided and breakfast is not included in the price. This hostel is clean, the 5 mixed room is also nice. The lavatory inside the room is useless before 9.30 a.m at least if you don't want to wake your room mates up
We rented a holiday apartment which belonged to Hostel Louise 20 in the Neustadt of Dresden. It was a perfect choice. The hostel seems to be very friendly, staff is nice and the breakfast looked good, too. But the apartments were just AMAZING! And the best: Thomas and I got the red chandelier bedroom we were dying to see since we saw it on the hostel's website. And it was a great bargain, too! We payed 30 EUR or less each for a night. I don't want to see a hotel room you'd get for the same price ;))))
Unique Quality: Our apartment had two bedrooms (one small one, one huge one) with two beds each, a living room with two beds as well as kitchen, bathroom and a huge balcony. All of the rooms were painted in different colours so our stay here was very colourful. It was relaxing as well... especially sitting on the balcony in the evening :)
The rooms are full of wonderful modern (IKEA) furniture in minimalistic design and with colourful walls. There's a great balcony overlooking the backyard... The location in one of the "pub-streets" is great as well. In Louisenstraße itself there are at least 25 pubs, not to mention the streets near it. It's also not too far from the old town, it took us maybe 20 minutes to walk there slowly (with lots of picture taking and peeing stops ;). The next tram stop is just a few minutes away, the train station "Neustadt" you reach easily after a few minutes walk.
In the backyard of "our" building there is the hostel and underneath that there's the nice pub "Planwirtschaft" with a daily breakfast buffet for only 7.90 EUR as well as some funny GDR vacuum cleaners at the wall and a wonderful garden to sit in.
The apartment is available for up to 6 people. Prices are a bargain: 90 EUR for three people, +10 EUR for every additional person. Bedlinen is included in the price. There are at least two more apartments to rent.
Parking is available in a nearby garage for just 4.50 EUR a day.
Popular and well kept hostel within walking distance to all attractions including the best in Dresden's nightlife. The Old Town is an enjoyable and scenic walk and if the weather is not great you can catch a tram as well. The New Town in which it is located has its own share of sights as well as numerous places to eat and drink.
Unique Quality: Clean rooms and a very helpful and well traveled staff. The common room is cozy and breakfast is very good value and quality.
Directions: Right in the heart of the Neustadt
