Friendly Hotel
Hotel Windsor, while not right in the center of town, was the perfect place to stay. The staff was nice and accommodating and would be the main reason why I would stay there again. On my last day I had to catch a 6:00 am train back to Berlin. The night before I asked them if there would be anyone at the desk that early and they said "no," and settled things for me that evening. When I came back from dinner that night, the folks behind the desk asked me if I wanted breakfast in the morning (even though it's usually not served that early), and I said sure. When I woke up in the morning, there was someone working the desk and she brought me to the dining area where they had a wonderful breakfast spread ready 2 hours earlier than usual. My room was great, with a private bathroom for something in the 40 euro range, and a window overlooking the quiet street. The staff also explained the tram service to me, which has a stop right on the corner and only takes ten minutes to get to the center of town. One morning I walked to the center of town.
