The Königstein is one of three identically-looking Ibis hotels located on Prager Straße, with both the railway station and the city centre in walking distance. Ibis is the "two star" chain of Accor hotels, meaning that you don't get a great deal of amenities, but you can generally rely on good quality.
I stayed there this summer for 4 nights. While the building is a somewhat ugly 1950s/1960s style block from the outside, the rooms were immaculately clean, bright, and modern. The showers are quite spacious, which might be interesting for couples :-)
Breakfast is offered in buffet style - the usual range of breads, ham and sausage, cheese, butter, jam, cornflakes, eggs, Müesli, yoghurt, etc. - and leaves nothing to be desired unless you insist on cooked breakfast or exceptional coffee.
Staff was (mostly) friendly and competent.
Unique Quality: Very clean, modern, good rates, central location.
Directions: From the railway station, just walk to the city centre, it's one of three large buildings on your left. Prager Straße is a pedestrian zone if I recall correctly, so car access is probably from the other side of the building.
