Simple hotel near the station
I've been in this hotel in 2006. There are three Ibis hotels, separated by some shops. They are located near the central station and the old town can easily be reached on foot. It has no parking, so it's best suitable for those who travel by train.
The hotels look pretty ugly from outside and the long corridors were not nice, but it's clean and convenient. My room was a bit small, with two (short) beds, a TV, a desk with two uncomfortable chairs and a small bathroom. There's WLAN in the room, but not for free. The Ibis Lilienstein only has a bar and no restaurant, but it has a breakfast room. The breakfast was good, with sufficient choice.
What I found very helpful was the town map that I got at check-in, with some information about museums on the back.
I'd probably choose this hotel again, because of its central location and the reasonable rates. It's not the most comfortable one, but for a short stay not bad!
