Hotel Ritter: down town

Spent the last day of a week long trip. Beautiful town, lovely inn, and recommend staying in a room over looking the village. We stayed in a rooftop room with a beautiful view of the castle. The noise from the kitchen echoed off the buildings requiring closed windows. VERY nice hotel and accommodations otherwise.

Great views, gracious staff, unique architecture.

Pension Jeske Heidelberg: Good, Inexpensive Heidelberg Hotel

The rooms are surprisingly large and comfortable. The bathroom (down the hall) was large and clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The location in the old town is ideal for site-seeing. It does get city noise (mostly loud pedestrians), but closing the window cut most of it.

The hallways and especially the flight of stairs to the main entrance are very dark and intimidating, even in the day time. At night, finding the light switches can be difficult.
