cigars?

has anyone been shopping at leipzig train station? I have a friend who swears their is a cigar shop somewhere within the shopping mall. (and would love to buy some specialist cigars) Does anyone know the name of the tobacconists and if it has a web site? any information would be of help. thanks

I found 3 cigar shops in Leipzig, but I dont know if one is in the shopping mall near the train station. But perhaps this helps

Honky Tonk Festival

Every year the city of Leipzig turns into a party mile when the Honky Tonk, Europe's biggest pub festival, takes place. More than 100 life bands and some ten thousand party-people came together for one night.
I have been asked by several people what "Honky-Tonk" means. In my eyes it means party, life music and fun, fun, fun. Well, I also looked it up in a dictionary: "Honky-Tonk: "...sleazy and cheap low-class nightclub / a dive..." - I assure you it has never been neither sleazy nor low-class.
Dübener Heide (Dueben Heath)

A natural park around the town of Bad Düben is situated between Leipzig and Wittenberg. This park with its forests, lakes an moors invites for bicycling and walking. You can also discover romantic towns, windmills and a more than 1000 year old castle.

The Bistro in the Seaside Parkhotel is a good place for people watching and having a quick meal inbetween. Large windows give the opportunity to watch the locals, tourists, shoppers walking from the central railway station into the old town and vice versa. The other good thing is that they offer food from morning till late at night. The service is quick and attentive, the ambience informal. Prices are ok. I had a potato soup and the local beer "Urkrostitzer". Both very good.

The Leipzig train station is one of the biggest in the world. I found it very impressive and pretty and loved to be there!
There's also a large shopping centre at the train station with some good food places.
Museum Der Bildenden Kuenste

The large modern building is actually a big ugly glass building surrounded by some old ones. It was a surprise for me that there was noone inside so I had to ask if they are still open! They kindly asked us to leave our backpacks at the lockers and we enjoyed all the levels almost alone!
The museum of fine arts was founded in 1837 by the arts association Leipziger Kunstverein. It houses a fine collection of paintings (about 3,000 paintings from middle ages to modern, I noticed many old german, Italian and dutch paintings), photographs, sculptures, graphics and drawings etc
The museum is open Tuesday-Sunday 10.00-18.00 (on Wednesday 12.00-20.00) The entrance fee is 5 euro (3,5 with the Leipzig Card)

A: "Leipzig is a big station, so they will have that for sure.
Normally these boxes will take money for the first 24 hours and when you have them there for 48 hours you have..."
