Thomanerchor
by Leipzig
Don't miss to hear the world famous Thomanerchor. This choir was founded in 1212. Between 1723 and 1750 Johann Sebastian Bach was cantor of that choir. You can listen to it at Thomaskirche (St. Thomas Church).

Schiller House: This...

Schiller House: This particular corner of Germany seems filled with the houses that belonged to Schiller. So, after visiting one in Dresden, I was not really surprised to see one in Leipzig as well. This fine dwelling was turned into a museum some time ago. Go to Nr. 42 in Menckerstrasse.

Excursion to Lake Cospuden
by MMGlobal
Just south of Leipzig a new huge lake district is starting to take shape. Old open-cast coal mines are transformed into huge clear lakes, all to be connected one day with the city center by waterways.
Lake Cospuden has everything for a perfect relaxing day: Sandy beaches (look for Nordstrand), a Golf court, and a Boat pier (called Pier 1) with a cafe and a restaurant. If you are looking for something romantic, then have a glas wine at the Pier 1 watching the sunset.
Lungs of Leipzig

When we were walking from Drallewatsch to Ohne Bedenken, we went through a huge park. It was warm sunny day, so there were a lot of people sunbathing, socialising, etc..
We almost decided to forget Ohne Bedenken and go to grocery store to buy sausages and one-time grill.
Besides grilling, I can imagine that you could do all kinds of sports in the park (it is so huge): football, jogging, ultimate... Or to have a couple of biers before going to bars.
