Climbing in the trees
At the „Kletterwald Pöhl“, close to Plauen, you can show how fit you are. You can climb through the wood on ropes ad boards – nothing for you if you do not have a good head for heights. They offer four different levels: “Spaß” (fun) for warming-up and children, one to two metres above the ground. “Fitness” is two to four metres high and a kind of “entrance fee” for the more difficult levels. “Abenteuer” (adventure) is four to six metres high, for “Risiko” (risk) you need to be fit for climbing up to ten metres on ropes. Of course you should wear good shoes and casual clothes. At the weekends there’s a lot of “traffic” there, so you better got there in the week. Open from 25th March to 17th June, 12th September to 31st October from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Friday to Saturday and daily on holidays of Thuringia, Bavaria and Saxonia.
