The 'green and red saloon' is an old theatre which has two nightclubs in it now. A must if you like 80'music. Sometimes extrordinary bands play in the red saloon(Roter Salon) as well.

In Rottenburg - we had lunch at Hotel Roter Hahn (est 1380).
We enjoyed sitting outside watching the people go about. It was a beautiful day! Allen and I both ordered Hahnchen Cordon Bleu mit pommes frites. 7,95EUR

Amazing that an often invisible line, or only visible on a map can mean so much!!
Another language, other habits and customs, another lifestyle and yet it is all these differences that makes us curious to know more about them.

What better to do then go, say KNOCK KNOCK , and they: who's there, and you: it's me ! and pay them a visit.

Take some flowers for the host and you'll be welcome.
We often cross the border and they come in droves to our beaches: language is no problem , friendly people and like everywhere else you will meet some grumblers whom you just have to ignore!

Overall: GERMANY IS a pleasant country for holidays, long or short, in every season, not extremely expensive and......... their
food is good, rich and tasty, beer and wine are fine , good motorways, camping sites enough: hey, haven't you left yet ??????? set off in Aachen e.g. or Cologne (SEE MY COLOGNE PAGE!)....

Useless to say that Public Transport is everywhere, easy to find and to use and it takes you wherever you want to go!! (No camels or elephants here !!!!)
