Re: Re: VT-Members: Move your pages to > Europe > Germany > Land Berlin !!!

by Thuringia

It's not, I think.
What You mean is
1.) Australia and Oceania > New Zealand > North Island > Wellington Region
2.) Australia and Oceania > New Zealand > North Island > Wellington Region > Wellington

But here:
1.) Europe > Germany > Land Schleswig-Holstein > Berlin
2.) Europe > Germany > Land Berlin

"Land Berlin", the capital of Germany, is like a state, and "Land Schleswig-Holstein" is another state. See also there: http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Germany/States/ . There are two different VT-trees under > Europe > Germany.

"Berlin" in land (state) Schleswig-Holstein is a village, post: D-23823 Seedorf near Bad Segeberg, in North Germany near the Baltic Sea. See there, please:

'Sanssouci' means 'without cares' in French. It is located on An der Historischen M?hle in Potsdam. Use Potsdam Hbf: S7 to get there

Hamburger Bahnhof

by Jgiii

The Hamburger Bahnhof is a contemporary art museum located in an old train station. The space is beautiful, and even if the show going on at the time you are there isn't so great, it is worth a trip just to check out the interior. I happened upon a great exhibit, which made my visit all the more pleasurable. Don't miss the restaurant, a little pricey but the food is great.

Topography of Terror

by Markyreid

Topography of terror is a series of photos of information descsribing the persecution of the Jewish population during the Nazi regime. Although it is located directly behind part of the Berlin Wall it does not touch on this aspect of Berlin's history. It is located opposite the former headquarters of the SS.
We spent over an hour viewing the images and listening to the audio. All the writing is in German but the information centre has audio guides for free hire when you leave your passport or drivers license. An absolute must.
It is an open air display so not worth doing in extreme weather conditions.
free of charge too.

The Pergamon Museum

by listenandlearn

Having meet many Berliners here in Barcelona, when they speak of the museums of Berlin, they always advise us....we highly recommend that you put your time and effort visiting the Pergamon Museum.
This museum has the most dramatic and so striking exhibits from the touch and taste of Asian Minor, a stupendous monument super huge that it needs a big hall more than 15 m high to fit it. These Pergamon Museum has the most interesting antiquities your eyes would ever see, from the Romans to the Greek statues. We would also recommend that you visit this fantastic museum of The Pergamon Museum.

Checkpoint Charlie

by bpwillet

This is the site where many East Berliners attempted to cross into the West amidst dogs and searchlights. Complete with a replica portrait of "Charlie". The original portrait was removed after the removal of the wall.
