Neue Wache by bpwillet
The outer building was originally designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in 1818 as a memorial to Prussian soldiers who died during the Napoleonic Wars. It is a great example of classical architectural style in Berlin. Inside is a single sculpture designed by K?the Kollwitz of a mother holding her dead son. It is now a reminder of the victims and tragedy of war.
