Hamburg Etap Hotel

Hi everyone!

A friend and I will be in Hamburg next year and we are on a tight budget. We would like to stay at one of the Etap Hotels available in Hamburg. Does anyone know if any of the following four is accessible by the subway/metro system or other public transportation?

1. Etap Hotel Hamburg Wandsbek
2. Etap Hotel Hamburg City
3. Etap Hotel Sankt Pauli
4. Etap Hotel Hamburg Nord Quickborn

Accomodation in Nürnberg?

Hi Everyone!
Does anyone know some cheap accomodation in or around Nürnberg? Hostel, pansion etc? We are three and would stay 18 June - one night.

The youth hostel of course, it is at the castle at the top of the hill. Beautiful place. Just hurry up booking, place get full during summer.

If you want a cheap hotel and can accept simple rooms than I would recommend ETAP-Hotel. This is a french budget-hotel-chain.

Look up the following website:
www.etaphotels.com

Their rooms can also be used by 3 persons.

Oh bummer! I am going to be in Budapest when you are going to be in Germany. I was hoping that we'd be able to meet this time since we missed each other last time! :-(

cheap hotels close to the autobahn

hi all,

I'm planning a trip to Hungary. We are leaving in the afternoon in Belgium and are looking for a place to stay in Germany.

We are looking for something cheap, just to stay overnight close to the highway. In France and in some parts of Germany you have "formula 1 hotels". Are there other similar hotels ?

Hi,

We have some good experiences of just getting off the autobahn in a(ny) smaller village (not too close to a big city) and just looking for a Gasthof or a small hotel/pension - fair chance you'll find a place at a reasonable rate, let's say around 50-70 Euro for a double room. And then you'll have more comfort (+ a good breakfast) than in a Formula 1!
And unless you travel in high season, this should work at any time of the year...
There are some books available at petrol stations and even at bookshops/automobile clubs outside Germany, for example "Links und Rechts der Autobahn". But looking in this one some time ago I found out that the average prices of the hotels they describe are rather high.

You could stay in Regensburg. The autobahn A3 touches the city and Regensburg is in the right distance for a stay overnight.

E.g. #40 is a cheap ETAP hotel.
Personally I find the prices of the nearby 4* also attractive.
And sometimes you can get super deals with http://www.hrs.com for excellent hotels.

And when in Regensburg don't miss to visit the Altstadt (Old Town).

There are not so many Formule1 hotels in Germany. The only one on your route is in Mannheim. But I guess you would like to go farther.

Another cheap hotel-chain, belonging to the same company Accor are Etap-Hotels. They offer slightly better "conveniences" than Formule1. They have hotels in Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Augsburg and Munich on your route.
