Schackendorf: a great hotel on the highway

Schackendorf is just a few km from Bad Segeberg and directely on the highway to Flensburg. I spent the night there several times already because it is convenient and rather cheap, the rooms are maybe a bit "outdated" but I always slept well and for a reasonable price. The Breakfast-buffet is excellent and the restaurant is also great !

There is an older building in the back and a newer part of the hotel in the same building, where you find the restaurant and also the breakfast-room. Prices vary a bit and I definitely prefered the older / cheaper part of the Hotel.

This very nice hotel small hotel with about 40 rooms which is in the Center City of Friedrichstadt and on the banks of the Eider River. The town has is kind of a funny place as it a town with a Dutch/Danish history that dates back to the time when Catholic Spain controlled the unhappy protestants who hiked north. Dutch people of the Remonstranten (Reform/Calvinistic) Protestants faith along with Mennonites and Quakers settle here in the mid 1600reds.

This is very nice little boutique hotel with very nice shower, cute courtyard and wonderful restaurant

Nice and quiet with good service.

Brand new toilets and showers, excellent water, quiet, not far from Klanxbüll shops, cafes and railway station (-> Sylt!). Cheap!
