Don't be afraid!

If you see people smiling at you, don't think there's something wrong. Tey're just being friendly and even more likely trying to contact you. I made a lots of new friends that way :)
And when you see a slob somewher sitting/standing near sights you were about to see then ask them about its history. it's almost guaranteed they can answer in English and tell you some cool stuff about it.
KielSchloss (Kiel palace)
by gal_flower
KielSchloss was pretty dissappointing since the architecture was not
very impressive ( yeah ... well ... after you've been in Austria, Hungary and Italy ... it really isn't)
and I didn't see anything interesting going on in there ...
The only big ads around were promoting the "Schloss" restaurant :(
Altr Markt (Old Market street Scene)
by Audrey118
The old market is a pedestrian walk, although I have seen bicyles passing through. You can walk leisurely there, it is a short walk with small shops flanking bothsides.
There are antique shops, a very nice kitchen gadget shop, a wine shop and some restaurants worth visitng.
ALso at the old market, there is Lunebrug restaurant whcih I enjoyed. It has 2 floors, downstairs more casual. But the service is good and they have a very good changing menu.
At the middle end of the street there is a fruit and vege vendors, some nuts vendor etc. Quite a sight. Near here is also a Rosenthal Studio shop for ceramics etc.
I bought some really large strawberries and also sun melon which is ultra sweet here. At trhis stall, you see even Asian fruits available.
