Bristol Hotel
This hotel is in the centre of town, it has some parking facilities and a pool. It is rated as a four star but I personally would rate it as a three star.

Grotty Hotel
Bristol Hotel, what a grotty old place this is. The exterior has just be refurnished and looks really pleasent, however once you enter, its very dark. I had an exterior facing room, which was so dark had to have the lights on in the day time, its exterior facing, but facing other buildings so you get hardly any natural light. Stayed in November so it was quite cool, they dont appear to have air conditioning, just an old fan unit in the room. The rooms were clean, but very old fashioned and could do with a face lift. Payed £62 for a night, no breakfast. Only good point is that it is in a very central location and the staff are very nice. But will not stay there again, friends suggested the Queens hotel, which might be better.
Unique Quality: does have a pool, but didnt see it.

Cheaper than some but good value
As there are not many hotels on Gibraltar, two of which are very pricey, the Bristol I think is a good choice.
A double exterior room in the summer season is £69.00. Since we visited the prices have now gone up by £10.00 a night.
Unique Quality: There is heating in the winter, air conditioning in the summer (although not properly ducted air con more like a fan heater which blows some cool air, a mini fridge, satellite tv, hair dryer, radio, and ensuite facilities.
Private pool with bar and snack bar.
The pool has a sliding roof which is pulled over in the winter time.
Breakfast is available with is a buffet self service continental breakfast and is £5 per head, which I think is pretty expensive.

Slightly jaded
On both our visits we stayed here at the Bristol hotel. Obviously the first time we came we hadnt been before and didnt know what it was like, but we found it fine. A little tatty in some respects, could do with some decorating, but the place was clean and staff very good.
It was built in 1893 and is the longest established hotel on Gibraltar.
Unique Quality: Outdoor pool, snack bar, bar, vending machines.

A Pleasant Place
Mid range priced hotel in Gibraltar.Situated just off main street, very nice, friendly staff, rooms ok.Have stayed there twice & will be staying there again in near future.
Unique Quality: Grand lobby with many interesting paintings of Nelson & the battle of Tralfagar.
Not many of the cheaper hotels here have a pool but the Bristol does, granted it's small but it does the trick, set in it's own gardens. With a bar area which serves light meals.
