Hotel Mistral: PINK!

At the airport the guide told us that we were sold the groundfloor rooms, but they had been sold to somebody else also, and because they were two couples who didn't know each other we would instead have a condo on the second floor. The guide told me to go and see if we could take it before checking in as there wasn't a lift in the hotel. My sister's partner and I checked the hotel and although there were about 15 steps to our condo we thought we could manage it. It was a nice small hotel of 15 rooms/condos and all the guests were from Finland. White and pink outdoors and built in kind of Spanish style. Our condo had two bedrooms and a built-in kitchen. I let Riitta and Vesa have the bedroom and chose the combined bedroom/kitchen for Joni and myself, because I knew that my sister likes to sleep late and knew we'd be up earlier. Back at home we made a claim and got nearly half of what we had paid for the trip returned to us, so this was a real bargain trip. In the beginning it was a cheap last minute trip already.

Unique Quality: The hotel was new, clean and spacey. All the household equipments in the kitchen. In the first night we were freezing as there was no heating, but so were the other guests also and from thenon we had heating. The beach was about 20 m from the hotel! I don't know the price as this was a package tour.

Sonio hotel: Beach hotel

Sonio Motel is in Platanias, not far from Chania. It has a pool, but the long stretching beach is just 3 steps away. Its location is quiet, but still close to the small centre of Platanias.

Mari Kristin: Nice hotel

I haven't stayed here for a while, but the hotel is quite ok. MariKristin is in Chersonissos and quite close to the ocean. However, try to avoid rooms close to the main street.

Camari Garden Apartments: So you need to Relax

This is the ultimate place to relax, unwind, chat to fellow guests and enjoy the sun.
Camari Garden Apartments is a family run hotel, and they really go out of their way to get to know you and look after your every need. The hotel is approx 42 rooms, with two pools, a shop on site with a couple of bars and a restaurant. it is approx 6km from Rethymno, and will cost you approx 7 euros in a taxi to get into town, Up the hill is Gerani Village an authentic Cretan village (ie, not done up for tourists), with bars, shops and you are really made to feel welcome, down the hill is a taverna and a lovely little chapel.
If you are looking for Hustle and Bustle and lively nightlife STAY AWAY. The accomodation is spotlessly clean with helpful and friendly maid service six days a week. Self catering facilities are basic but as much as you need. The food is excellent, and basically you can have whatever you want. Let them know the day before and they will get it in for you. Home cooked Cretan Specials are regularly offered for you to try.
The circular bar creates a friendly atmosphere that allows you to mingle easily with other guests, it will stay open as long as you want to carry on having a drink, often into the early hours of the morning.

Unique Quality: This hotel has the most welcoming and friendly atmosphere we have ever experienced. Many people return year after year and you are made to feel very much, like a part of the family. You are always remembered, I only have to call and say who I am and Angela will know who I am, ask me by name how my children and husband are. Whilst this makes me feel very special, it is the same for everyone.
We have many friends from the guests at the hotel who we have met on return visits.
After a busy "normal life", with a hectic job and busy family, for two weeks I can just relax, take in some sun, a few beers, some good food and excellent company. Just what I need!!

Sunny Bay Hotel: Far from tourist sites

We stayed at Sunny Bay (Kissamos, Crete) in May 2004 and were surprised by the very good quality of the accomodation.

We enjoyed the friendly service - also English speaking, the spacious room with TV and fridge at no additional charge, which is quite uncommon in B-class Greek hotels. I don't remember whether AC was also available but we used a fan.

The hotel is located in Kissamos, west of Chania. I also made a note on the hotel here.

In July 2006 my boss stayed in the same hotel with his family and they all were happy about the choice.

Unique Quality: As I said above, the hotel represents a higher quality than expected. It is a real good value for money.

Spacious and clean rooms, well furnished and equipped, good service, clean pool... and the close-to-sea location make Sunny Bay a very good choice.

Bella Vista hotel: Luxurious hotel

The delightful hotel Bella Vista is set in a peaceful position on a hillside enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding area, the island of Theodorou and the coastline towards Chania. A footpath from the hotel leads you down to a variety of shops, taverns and the excellent beach.

Unique Quality: The twin or double bedded rooms are very spacious. They all have fridge, radio, phone, safe and large terraces with views of the sea and the White Mountains.

Alexandros Studios: Great place to stay for family

We had a great time in Crete this summer – Kalamaki Chania. Made lots of trips to Elafonisi, Samaria gorge, Gramvousa, Chora Sfakion, Loutro, Rethimno. Beautiful beaches and nature, great people. Unique Quality: the hotel has it's own mini market, pool bar service, very friendly environment. Cleaning service is daily, our room had a see view. And also it has got a common payed laundry room.
