living the magical greek myth at the elounda deluxe resort
by TripAdvisor Member alexhatz
from the moment i arrived at the elounda resort, i was gently overwhelmed by the warm welcome at reception. from that point onward,
i felt i could have been looked after just as well as if i had been the only guest in the resort. staff is always smiley and helpful.
"impossible" is word that does not exist in that beautiful spotless world. i personaly found them to be the best trained staff in greece.
i had a magical stay and i was very sorry to see it end.
Paradise lies in details...

Everything is profoundly placed and the staff is among the best I have encountered. Me and my wife spent half-a-day in the Six Senses Spa and daydream about spending an entire week there in the future (it's possible...). Paradise lies in details. We will definitely go back soon!
The private pool was a dream

This was one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I have ever had. If you are looking for a spa hotel and resort where everything is catered for, this is the place for you. Our room had a private pool, a small luxury which made a huge difference to our enjoyment. The hotel was beautiful but what really impressed us was the staff, who were the most pleasent hotel staff I have met. It's unusual for such large hotels to manage to have such uniformly pleasent staff, and really made the difference to our stay. I honestly have no criticism to make of this hotel - the sea was clear, the staff were lovely, there was a gorgeous hidden bar round the peninsula, and we had a fabulous time.
Definitely worth it!

I was at Elounda for a weekend in June 2007 and had a terrific experience. Staff is not only extremely friendly but also highly professional and coming myself from a southern country, I know how often these two features happen to mismatch.
I was given a waterfront room, a couple of meters away from the sandy beach, which provided the ideal morning wake-up exercise.
The architecture, materials and design of the whole resort perfectly blend in with the surrounding environment, a significant plus.
A final word for the extraordinary Six Senses Spa. Its interior has all one could possibly require from a Spa and all of it not only in refined good taste but also in impressive scale. Its large open-air pool (connected with the small inside pool by means of a small channel through the gigantic front-window) is a dream, over-looking the deep blue of the Mediterranean.
In a few words: definitely worth while.
